It's an interesting hypothetical. Inexperienced 4* kids vs 2/3* seasoned team like NIU. If they played ten times, I'd bet on NIU to win the first few games, but as the bama kids started to gel as a team their talent would get them the next wins.

A game vs Alabama would bring much money to NIU, and that would be a good thing. Before we start talking about the possibility of actually beating them (again), or even their bench warmers, perhaps we should wait until the Huskies can figure out how to beat a good Mountain West team.

I think Bama owes it to themselves to play us again. We will always have the 1-0 argument until they kick the crap out of us. Better to schedule us then some cupcake. If the opportunity arrives , jump on it.

Bama doesn't care about NIU having the "upper hand".

RE: Anybody got Sean Frazier number? Can we please schedule Bama again
I'm all for a rematch with Bama again. My daughter is starting her freshman year there in August and it would be a great opportunity for me to visit her. The campus is spectacular and the people are very friendly. During orientation this summer I heard constant cheers of "Roll Tide!" but was laughing inside knowing that my Huskies are 1-0 all time against them.

+1 The only reason Alabama cares about this loss was the fact that it helped to end the Shula era and brought in the Saban era. If anything, they love it.

I went to Tennessee to see the Huskies play the Vols back in '08. As I was leaving the game, I met one of the Tennessee fans who told me he was secretly cheering for the Huskies, as he figured a loss to NIU would accelerate the departure of coach Phillip Fulmer.

We had Vol fans coming up to us Friday night saying the same thing. And they weren't so secret about it. LOL. Easily in my top five alltime road trip games. Neyland Stadium is something else.

Yeah, they regret the day the ran him out. They expected to be in the National Championship every year after winning one.

42-44 since. Not to mention the Lane Kiffin debacle.
