Good stuff. I'm excited to have him leading our offense, it should help immensely.

RE: Good article about Coach U
I could see him being the next head coach if Carey gets an opportunity somewhere else. We'll find out how good he is this year. Lots of work to be done.

As long as our offense consists of more than Jet Sweep, QB Draw, Bubble Screen, and we can stay healthy I think he'll be successful.

That could be a problem. Those plays have become the NIU staple. We saw them in the Spring game. I think those plays come from the top.

I think that those plays are in part due to the fact that we have a banged up first string QB and none of the back ups have shown the ability to throw the ball downfield.

I sure hope that Drew Hare is healthy and that the O line gives time for plays to develop. I am not sold on any of our backups for the QB position.

Turner, Buirge, Saffold, Brown and the new kid from Glenbard East, if he's on campus, are my predictions.

Here we are six month later and we are still hoping that Drew will be healthy and that we have nothing behind him. I was so hoping that another Quarterback would have stepped up in the spring.
Maddie, Santa or someone please make big progress in August.

August would be a perfect time for somebody to step up and be the solid #2 guy. So we have Santa, Maddie, Graham and who else?

When did you know that Hare was our leader at QB? In 2014, he did not start until Week 3 vs UNLV.

Was just think our young Quarterbacks have to be pretty excited about these receivers that are going to be signing and coming this year. That position is going to be stacked for a long time.

It's funny, it wasn't that long ago that Huskie fans on this board were clamoring for Hare to be replaced. I think we all have purged our memories of balls thrown twelve feet over receivers heads and the inexplicable fumbles.

A dose of Graham and that lefty walk on kid will do that to you. A dose of the worst offensive performance in the history of collegiate football (Poinsettia Bowl) will do that to you. Suddenly, Drew Hare is the second coming of Joe Montana! That's what I remember!

I for one would be okay if Hare didn't play again.
