Yea, Blowing Rock to Boone isn't scary and those cities are way too close to be considered different cities imop.

They should just go ahead and combine them.

"Blowing Boone"... has a nice ring to it. 03-lmfao

How's that for something new? Didn't even mention your Goat Loving Mood Banjo music once.

They did. As did Wake, Marshal, and others while Georgia Southern only managed to pen home games with Presby and UMass.

Maybe your campus is TOO assessable. .

Just stop with Miami, you had a FCS game you could buy out and Miami was forced to accept any terms. You won the tallest midget award with Miami. ArkSt actually landed them legitly.

GS will not get better home games until we can offer a decent allotment to visiting teams or we tank hard. Neither is not going to happen anytime soon. Short term pain for not throwing up the cheap erector set type expansion you see at some many stadiums these days.

How exactly is Arkansas State's procurement of a P5 homegame any different than ours? There are matching open (or openable) dates and a proactive athletic directer. It's not a complicated formula. I assure you that a five-time national champ in the ACC doesn't get forced into anything, especially with "the tallest midget."

You mad, bro?

It's good to know App has the influence to force a 5 time national champion into accepting our terms. Guess we made 'em a deal they couldn't refuse! 05-mafia

Miami could have played a home game with an FCS school, but with App's RPI being pretty high this season it was a good move for the them. You know Kleinlein would have jumped at the chance if the opportunity had been presented to him. You can keep playing FCS schools in your nice concrete stadium. I'll take playing 2 ACC and CUSA schools in our erector set stands.

BTW, when are you guys going to do something about that pressbox? I was in it last year and shocked at how bad it is. It honestly looks like a bunch of metal construction trailers that had been stacked on top of each other.

Around the same time y'all do something about that eyesore high school track around your field.

Whatever helps you sleep...Regardless it's the biggest game we've ever had in Boone. Try again when you even get a halfway decent G5 nonconference home game.

I might lash out like a child if the Stink had multiple P5 home games and compelling G5 matchups scheduled and all we had was UMass and a bunch of third rate FCS schools on our home schedule for the foreseeable future. It probably doesn't help that they've only beaten us twice in 8 years.

You're preaching to the choir here dude. I've been one of the most vocal proponents of getting rid of it for 30 years. However, the reality is that track isn't nearly as big of an eyesore as your press box is a dump.

To hear some GaSo folks talk you'd swear it was the other way around. Guess when you have nothing of substance you default to goats, banjos, erector set seating, tracks around the football field and the myth that Armanti Edwards committed to the Eagles.

The truth is the truth. Miami didnt wake up and say hey we want to play a third year FBS team in BFE NC willingly at the last minute. You were one of few options. Those are what you call facts. Yes it is the biggest game and probably will stay that way for a long time as scheduling snafus for big name P5's are not common and the chances you will have an FCS game to buy out that fits the schedule next go around are slim to none.

Ummm WMU wasn't chopped liver. They were one win away from probably winning the MAC also.

I will trade not having fake P5's like Wake and "decent" G5's like Marshall in the short run for not having a low budget erector set stadium. When our south stands are expanded we will have one of the nicest stadiums in the country not some thrown up cheap crap to expand capacity only. Your stadium screams big time...unfortunately big time FCS not FBS.

That's not a myth...it comes straight from the mouth of Mike Sewak.

Not like anyone's trying to impugn on AE's character or anything for decomitting. Brian VanStupid wanted a third-string Southern Miss QB instead of him, and even if he had AE he would probably use him as a second-string receiver.

Miami needing a to find a game with 99.9% of FBS schedules being filled had ALL the leverage in the world.....
OOC games for P5's are done typically years in advance not rushed a year before.

You dumb bro?...07-coffee3

Wut?

Umm FBS teams usually are not allowed to play at an FCS for one.
Two of course if we were lucky enough to have an FCS game that weekend to buy out for a Miami we would have. But like with you it would have been LUCK not some miracle scheduling achievement.

As for the south stands, we could throw up some cheap stuff but we want to competed in the FBS not the FCS long term. The recruits appeared not to be bothered by our press box how did you do last year again?
