RE: MT finalizes '17 OOC
I'm not sure what's worse, how badly you're grasping at straws to stake claim to one of your original flawed points, or how completely and totally you have ignored every other one of your disproven flawed points.
You've offered zero response to when you were corrected on Arkansas State's history, you've offered no response on your ridiculous claims of Idaho having more "street cred" than Middle Tennessee based on a difference of transitioning to FBS two years earlier.
NMSU is part of your OG FBS "street cred" club, why are they only getting $1.35M from Arkansas when Coastal Carolina, a team currently in transition, is getting $1.5M?
And to your hypothetical of what looks better a win/loss to USM/MT/WKU/Charlotte/etc etc etc. just stop it. How often do we see five undefeated teams? Or even five one loss teams? Further, all your talk of resume boosts or detriments from a potential win/loss, none of that is relevant unless the G5 team is having a great season. A win over any 12 win G5 team looks better than a win over any 7 win G5 team regardless of their "street cred".
Just stop trying to explain your extremely flawed logic, I've understood exactly what you've been trying to eay all along, so why you keep trying to explain it is curious indeed, I get what you're saying, you're just flat wrong.
For the sake of your terrible argument, let's take a look at the OOC schedules of some top teams.
Bama: Southern Cal, WKU, Kent State, UT-Chattanooga
FSU: Louisville, UNC, USF, Charleston Southern
tOSU: OU, Bowling Green, Tulsa
Michigan: Colorado, UCF, Hawaii
OU: tOSU, Houston, ULM
Stanford: ND, Kansas State, Rice
I included two B1G schools because tOSU and OU play one another and there's not another CFP contender in the Big XII. So for the sake of your argument let's say Bama, FSU, OU, Michigan and Stanford all go undefeated, Bama should be the one left out based on youe logic, but we all know that's not how it would go. The difference between the other four would come down to their conference schedule and the OOC games like Louisville, Colorado, tOSU and ND, not USF, UCF, ULM and Rice.
