College Sports Madness 144 Teams in 144 Days - #130 Marshall
For you fans of the Orlando Sentinel countdown, CSM has started their college hoops countdown for 2016-2017.
Rice is CUSA's first entrant at 139 and #5 in CUSA. So, not a whole lot of respect again for the conference.

I'd assume that ODU, UAB, and Middle are 3 of the other 4. Who's the fourth?
1.
2.
3.
4.
5. Rice

Great article! Hopefully C-USA can prove some people wrong this year. I'm going to guess either Marshall or LA Tech, and I lean more towards LA Tech.

If this prediction holds true, it would be a huuuge step up for Rice. And also proving the hiring of Coach Rhodes was very smart. This should be a lesson for every CUSA team. It's the coach that makes the difference and not the arena.

Careful posting that on our board, especially if it relates to football. Might get some pushback.
As to Rice basketball and Rhoades, I will endure the upcoming Rice football season anticipating Year 3 of Rhoades and the hoped for emergence of Rice basketball as a contender and dark horse NCAA Tourney candidate. It's been since 1970...

Glad to see Rhoades getting some love "beyond the hedges" for what he is building at Rice.

Not sure what that last sentence meant, but Autry Court is not bad since the 2014 renovations. I hope Rhoades creates an attendance "problem" by needing a larger facility to keep pace with demand for tickets. Winning does that.

Ouch. Here's hoping the conference's other three teams are firmly in the top 100.
