My 16 year old is the DD for my 21 year old and I for these guys this Friday at the Taft Theater. I plan to be sufficiently blottoed and sweaty from shaking my money maker.

Got myself some tickets to the Truckers in just a few weeks, so thought I'd send this out to my buddy SuperFlyBcat.

I love Neil but anything after Prairie Wind (2005) not so much for me.

I hear y'all on Neil, and I agree. One thing that I'll give to him is that he keeps creating. He's not just rehashing hits from 40 years ago. Last time I saw him was at Red Rocks in 2003ish. He did his full Greendale concept album, which I thought was great, followed by a classic Neil Young set. If I was forced to make a Top 10 all-time album list, Harvest would be on it.

They play tomorrow, too. Holy shikes do yourselves a favor and take a chance and go.

gotta agree with rath that Umphrey's McGee is a great band that can jam.

this guy lives down the block from me. i first heard about why? in an indie music magazine aboard a jet airliner back in aught five en route to new zealand. this video was taken during the northside (which is my neighborhood) fourth of july parade. pretty cool

Nice, Lush. That was a good tune, and fun to see a bit of Northside - definitely a place I'd live if I made it back that way.

RE: Bearcat Banter Music Lover's Thread: Whatcha Listenin' To Son?
i've been a big fan of why? for years now. i didn't know they moved back home full time until i saw yoni (the lead singer) in a dress walking past me in a bottle shop. that jokester. but northside has doubled in price since we bought our house four years ago. it's pretty insane what people are paying for houses now. it's still just seedy enough to keep away most of the riff raff. hopefully they never get rid of the alleys
