It is with great sadness that I inform all of you today is my last day at UC. As many of you know my wife is from the pacific NW and thus I had an opportunity arise that was too good to pass up. I accepted the position of Director of Ticketing at Eastern Washington University and will begin there on the first of July.

My time at UC has been great and I have become very close with some wonderful individuals both working in the department and otherwise. You guys have converted a Cardinal into a lifelong Bearcat. I will maintain my UCATS membership and root for the teams from afar.

Thank you to everyone who has made me feel so welcome in this city. I'll still be on the boards so I will not be completely leaving. Go Bearcats!

Congrats, Ash. You can do worse than to have the Wallowa Wilderness, Couer d'Alene, some nice wine country around Walla Walla, and shows at The Gorge all within a short drive. Plus, I'm sure the Bearcats will be playing in Spokane the next time they host in the tourney. Cheers!

That's higher education/athletics administration in general. Not many ways to move up in a straight line, I've fallen victim of that truth as well. I'm at 3rd university in 7 years...it's the only way to get promotions these days with all of the funding cuts.

Don't let the door hit you in the Ash on the way out. Kidding. Good luck. I like Walla Walla. 30 years ago I spent 2 weeks therein. The first was doing Due Diligence and deciding not to buy a local manufacturer. The second was in court being sued for not buying. Our WA law firm was Gates & Bogle. The Gates was Bill's father.

There was a neat French Restaurant called The Left Bank. It was on the left bank of the Walla Walla River.
