Anyone know what he's doing now? Still making a go at Pro football? Sounds like he coached at Springfield last year. He had done a lot at UT, but still one of the most head-scratching decisions I've seen to leave. His senior year would have been special. He would have ended his same career in the same paragraph as Chuck Ealey and Bruce. He's sorta there, but stopped short IMO.

Very few ball players are worth the price of admission to watch. Eric was incredible. I would have liked seeing him play longer at Toledo and in the NFL, as well. Regardless, I am glad he came to Toledo. I am sure he has many great memories. We are still looking for the next "Page". :)

As I recall, from some of his comments that were quoted at the time, I think that Beckman's decision to leave was a huge factor in Page's decision to leave. In retrospect it turns out they both made a mistake.
