I'm thinking Wake Forest

I would love for it to be VT but I don't think that's going to happen and I would love for it to happen sooner. Maybe we can shock NC State this year? I believe their QB that gave us problems the last 2 years has graduated/been drafted. We have 15 ACC games lined up for the next 10 years, it would be great if we can win at least half of them. Wake Forest and UVA seem like our best bet, and I'm sure we can win a few against VT, but we'll see

I wish we were playing UVA this year. We could beat them now.

2018 could be a fun year. We play Tech in Norfolk on 9/22 and then play France in C-Ville on 11/17.

Hey, the question is who do we "want" to beat, not who do you "think" we will beat. I want to beat VT first so bad. My siblings went to tech and a lot of people at my work went there - it would be great to shut them up for a week.

In that case, VT. My girlfriend and her sister are Hokies and her parents are huge fans. They always put ODU sports down and it would be great to see them get stunned. Then again, they would probably say it was a fluke, like when ODU beat UVA a few years ago when they were ranked #1. I am a Hokie fan from growing up wanting to go to Tech and watching their football team, but I would love us to win against them so bad. They are the standard when it comes to college football in the state of VA. But, if we do beat them, let's not pull a JMU and talk about it for years and years to come!

Also, I would love to avenge the UNC.... I don't know what word I would use to describe that game that would be appropriate for these boards. Even a win wouldn't completely take the nasty taste out of my mouth, but it would feel good to take them out.

I'd like to beat VT. Having watched VT evolved from the mid 90s to 2008 and was really the only football team from VA to cheer about on a national level I would love to beat them come 2017!!! Most of us from VA and ODU fans didn't just wake up September 5, 2009 and become college football fans, we had other teams we cheered on and for me VT was a team I enjoyed watching. I know others wouldnt admit to liking other schools football teams before ODU but face it YOU DID!!! I grew up watching VT and attending VT games in my teens and early 20s before ODU reemerged. Since 2009 I can honestly say I haven't stepped foot on VT campus or have watched an entire VT football game on tv.

Once Mendenhall gets that train back on track at UVA, thats going to be a tough game for us. Mendenhall has never had a losing season as a head coach.

Realistically either probably Wake or State

I love VT and I hope that ODU beats them.
In all honestly I am on camp Wake Forest as the most likely team we'll beat first.

The way the question is asked, I have to go with N.C. State, since they are the next one we play.

But I would love to beat Tech.

NCSU because thats the next one on the schedule. But I would also love to avenge the UNC loss and would be ecstatic about a VT win. Any P5 win at this point would be thrilling. Heck, I'd be happy to beat Marshall or ECU.

We probably need a poll about CUSA football opponents too. Marshall, MTSU, and WKU...

It won't be in Raleigh this year, perhaps Wake in the future.

Not saying your right or wrong, however NC State is replacing their NFL caliber QB Jacoby Brissett (Height: 6-4 Weight: 231) a third-round selection, who landed a four-year deal worth approximately $3.4 million. It will be a tough game in Raleigh, but anything can happen.

NC State's defense can be a beast The Wolfpack will be tough to move the ball on. Last year they ranked as the 29th best, nationally in total defense.

Actually the two games before we visit Wolfpack land will be interesting the Sep. 1 game with William & Mary followed by the Sep. 10 game at East Carolina.

It'll be our third game of the season with still a young team, coming off a probable loss at App St the week before. NC State has some beasts at RB and our defense is still not great. Hey, I would love for ODU to beat them, I live 45 minutes south of their campus and many of my friends live and die with the Pack, but I just don't see it happening.
