Thanks Eddie.

or Cary? I just want to know who designed the indoor track that was suppose to be part of the selling point of the Convo, so we could host indoor meets.

I really don't mind the Convo. Except for intimacy, the venue is certainly leaps and bounds better than Chick Evans Fieldhouse. The Convo brought us into the 20th Century. If/when the sound and video board are upgraded, it will be a much better facility. Of course, it is depressing when there are less than 1,000 fans there, but hopefully that will be rectified soon. And, if the administration puts in for basketball 25% of the effort they do for football, things will really start to improve.

IMO, officials from NIU knew the track was not usable for competition, but misled the state just so we could get an arena. The upper level seats behind the baskets and ridiculous far from the court. Why? Because room had to be made for the track that can't host an indoor meet. They should not had upper-level seats behind one or both of the baskets. That would've reduced the capacity yet created a more intimate. The Convo is fine, yet could've been so much better.

No way Cary would have signed off on a non-regulation track. Cary only had input anyway. On a project as big as the Convo, ultimate oversight and final approval could only come from the VP of Finance and Facilities.

The PA system went down during the 9:00 a.m. NIU graduation. That is beyond embarrassing.

The sound is awful. Awful.

The PA system in Convo should be the number one priority when the budget mess is finalized.

Jack-In-The-Box drive-thru's in the late '70's sounded better than what's at the Convo now.

It sounds like how adults in the peanuts cartoons sound "wah wah wah"

Not only is it difficult to hear the PA, it's also a big joke when they post scores on the video board and they're completely unreadable.

Not when I can see you and what you do in your seat from across the arena. It's the video board.
