Louisville is still fairly young as a state university - it is not unusual for many younger four-year schools not to have many alumni on their BOT. South Alabama, founded in the 1960s, went through a similar shakeup several years ago.

Lots of jealousy here when it comes to Louisville. When we were in CUSA, Memphis and Cincinnati fans trolled us for wanting to move to The Big East. Once we moved to The Big East and it started falling apart, Cincinnati fans trolled us for wanting to jump to The Big 12 or ACC.

It's just something we have gotten used to. As they have often told us, it sucks to be us....lol

Or his firing. I think this should be a wake up call to all Public Universities and Colleges that if you do bad things with academics or with athletics? You should be fired. I am waiting to see who will get fired at UNC for their academics scandal.

He sort of had to resign, in order for their NOT to be fallout from removing the entire board, but leaving the president in office. Makes it too politicized. To borrow a term someone else used, he more or less fell on the sword.
