I agree. I've seen some reports that it's not a done deal for Coach Goff yet but if he does leave then Ostrander would be my first choice. Provides stability and he knows what it takes to win. He's a big reason Coach Goff has been so successful at Tech.

If 'Bama made a quality push on baseball, they would be a yearly regional/super regional team.

I remember Bama playing for a CWS title in the nineties. It stings to lose Goff so quickly, but he left us in really good shape. I am hopeful we can replace him and continue to make Baseball a priority. This year was way too much fun.

They tried to get our coach but he turned them down. Glad he is loyal to his alma mater, plays, and fans.

While I would ordinarily be disappointed about a successful coach leaving the conference, good freaking riddance to that guy. Good luck with the coaching search, Tech.

Goff at Bama will be interesting to see. He built his success at LA Tech on JUCOs. That aint going to fly at Bama. He's going to have to bring in high school kids and produce them at an elite level in order to give that delusional fanbase what they want. There's a big difference between developing kids to win at Campbell in the SoCon and doing so in the SEC to the unrealistic extent that will be demanded of him. I'm a little skeptical as to whether or not he can do that.

Highly unlikely but it would be major deja vu.....La Tech hires the Northwestern St coach and then Nortwestern St turns around and hires one of our assistants (the same one who was among the final candidates when Goff was hired). I say the Deja vu part as this scenario happened with your women's basketball hire and then NSU hired one of our assistants.
