The point of the article is made apparent when you consider the other 20 articles that they have thrown out there the last few days.

Tons of articles on Alabama & Auburn football players & former players, so throw UAB a bone to shut up their fans.

I know it's just the people at AL.com making up the list, but having watched football in the state for 50+ years I question a lot of their rankings of the top 100

Yep. If they are talking about great in NFL that is one thing, if they are talking about great in college its another.

They seem to really lean towards the newest players being the better players.

I'ts the dead season for sports media. You'll notice the past few AL.com articles have been written by people other than DC for whatever reason. Nothing wrong with it but this is the new norm for media outlets who need to post X amount of content each day.
