BSC already has an on-campus football stadium. UAB has used it for practice, numbers of times.

Do They, Like Soccer or American Football, I can stand corrected. Was not informed that Birminghan Southern had American football are they DII or DII.

It would be perfectly acceptable for such a use if it allowed an additional facility to be installed. That field is still in pretty good condition, even with the weird sheen to it that XHCWB selected and seriously not worth the mental anquish of getting embarrassed or upset over.

That's actually not a bad idea. IIRC, there's supposed to be a turf field in the middle of our new track for the band. Speaking of, what's the status on the track facility?

Still in the raising funds stage.

But doesn't it have to be moved for the football facility to start?

It does, but no one ever said it had to be completed before the football facility commences.

Ingram has always made it sound like it was going to precede the football facilities. That certainly doesn't seem like the case anymore, but I think many of us have gotten that impression.

BSU went D3 from D1 when they dropped down to add football several yrs ago. Joey Jones (former MBHS & now USA head coach) started it

Ingram mentioned it in an interview yesterday. If the building is going where I think it is, work will have to begin on the new track very soon.

Thank you for answering my question just reading title XI on Wikepedea. It reads about three different meanings. From this to that. Some good some not so good. It can be used as a defense for well people that have been you know never good/./ to the ratio of women to men athletes and so forth basically the feds can pinpoint any academic institution even Obama has written on it. They can basically use it for many reasons. Keep your sheets clean my friends on a nice way of putting it. The Steel Shield for a reminder. We were about to be OPPs.

IIRC, cost for the track was around $500k meaning it wouldn't meet the threshold of needing BOT approval. Is that correct?

RE: LF upgrades
I would think that any facility type upgrade would still need BOT approval but I'm just guessing.

What about Miles College, They produced one of the best wide receivers i've seen. He could run, catch and through. That was about the time we we were playing Butler and the best running back was Pat White and that guy from Butler.

Sell legion field to ESPN, they'll renovate the stadium. Gives Birmingham some opportunities to host p5 neutral site nonconference games.

Miles plays home games at Sloan-Alumni Stadium in Fairfield, though they're playing one game at the Old Grey Broad this year.

The proposed MPF would be our best (ONLY?) bet for getting that kind of game into B'ham. Due to its outdated design, no matter what "renovations" are done to Legion Field, it can never be a NEW / MODERN stadium.

You're talking about Wayne Thomas. He was a 2x Time All-American out there at Miles.
