I saw that. The Cowboys offensive line must be THAT good if McFadden hurts himself trying to save his phone or something stupid. The Cowboys drafted two running backs and signed Alfred Morris this offseason. They definitely can withstand this, and McFadden was likely on the roster bubble anyways.

It has been a bad offseason for McFadden: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/160726...15-million

I know it is tongue in cheek but the Elliott pick shouldn't look smarter now since McFadden got injured and it wasn't smarter after Jalen Ramsey got injured either. At the time of the draft, knowing everything they had to know at the time, Elliott was the wrong pick for the previously mentioned reasons.

I was for the Elliot pick in real time...2nd choice was Ramsey with Buckner @ 3...saw the value of a immediate TD maker and someone that would take the ball out of Romo hands and protect the defense

And now he might not be looking like a smart pick. Obviously there are still a lot of moving parts here, but with the outcry against domestic violence being at an all time high, this could not come at a worse time for the Cowboys and Elliott.

Good grief ... how to do you spend all that money and all that time vetting players ... and miss that? Just unbelievable that they would draft a guy like that and have no idea he beats his gf.

I think they're going to have to start digging a lot deeper into criminal records, maybe have potential players talk to therapists to see if they can tease out something that could be a red flag.

Pretty sure this happened after the draft. And it might turn out to be nothing, as the witnesses of the alleged assault in the car all say they didn't see an assault

It allegedly happened sometime between last Saturday and Wednesday of this week. I absolutely believe in getting all of the facts out before rendering an early judgment but she got the bruises and scrapes from somewhere. Below is an updated link with the 911 call his girlfriend made - she's calm but asks for an officer to come to her apartment after Elliott allegedly was still outside. She claimed he had been abusing her over a period of several days.

I hope the truth comes out, no matter if Elliott is guilty or not. As a Cowboys fan, I hope he is innocent. Darn Buckeyes!

Oh right, he just up and decides that now would be a good time to get on the "beating your gf" train??

That's not how these things work.

The 'Boys probably knew it. They rolled the dice. And now it backfired.

well you have to start somewhere. Like UCGrad said, let's wait till we get all the facts. Right now it's a potentially bad situation, but it's nothing until the facts come out. He's innocent till proven guilty

Quote:In the report, filled out by Thompson, she lists her occupation as “sex slave.”

It's really hard to take her serious when she puts that down in the official police report. First of all, I hope she isn't a sex slave and she should get the police involved in that. Secondly, if not true, then how can anyone take her seriously with her domestic violence accusation? She denied medical treatment when asked by the police. The pictures online look bad so I hope she gets help but when I look at the available information, it doesn't look like enough (or any really) evidence points to Elliott to say he definitely did this. In fact, the victim is the only one saying Elliott did anything while multiple others are saying they didn't see Elliott do anything.
