OT: Ron Mason (1940-2016)
Ron Mason passed away last night. Hard week for Michigan hockey legends, they're dropping like flies.

I wonder what Bill thought about Ron? The intra-state rivalries were bitter in the 80s and 90s. There's a video of a brawl between MSU and WMU in 96 that gets pretty heated. Bill wasn't the all time leader in wins like Ron, but he certainly wasn't chopped liver.

Wish Ron would have been more outspoken about the demise of the CCHA and the emergence of Big 14 hockey. He never really said much about it publicly.
