Because that would mean that both Tulane and ULL had won their first round games. Alabama is in the SEC. Nuff said.

OK, now understand why you're for ULL. Well, I don't hate the SEC like you do, so I'm relatively neutral about the ULL-Alabama game.

Not so much a matter of hate. More a matter of perception. If you recall, there were those advocating the SEC get as many as 11 regional invites, assuming the strength of their conference deserved it. If their regional participants get eliminated early, a truer sense of appreciation for other conferences will take shape.

You know, I'm not so sure we really have much to complain about in this regard. There were SEC teams left out that had higher RPI's and ISR's (according to Boyd's World) than East Carolina. CUSA was actually lucky to get 4 teams in.

I think you need to be fair to each individual school, regardless of conference. If 11 of the best 64 teams are in one conference, then those 11 deserve the bids. Of course, we can argue all day about whether the SEC really has 11 of the best 64. But I guess that's why you want them to lose - to prove that they don't.
