RE: Omaha
Is that it? I always assumed that there was some historical reason, not just that Omaha is wildly into college baseball.

I always assumed it was there to insure that no school ever got to have a home field advantage in the tournament.

Maybe, but isn't there a University of Nebraska, Omaha? Admittedly, they might not have a team. I honestly don't know. Not giving a home field advantage seems reasonable to me.

Congrats Miami. While the Cards have company in the fact that so far only 2 of the 5 home teams have won their Super Regionals, UofL really choked this weekend.

Nebraska Omaha does have a team. They are a member the Summit. Creighton is also in Omaha, and the University of Nebraska is only an hour down the road and undoubtedly has a ton of fans in Omaha. None made the tournament this year.

Good luck to Miami!

Florida State still has a chance, if they beat Florida. However that game turns out, there will be only two teams combined from the ACC and SEC, despite the dominance of those two conferences in the pre-tournament RPI rankings.

The NCAA assured the ACC of at least one spot in the CWS by pairing BC and Miami in the Super-regionals.

The Noles & Canes were the 2 best teams in the ACC this year, in my opinion.

That just goes to show you how difficult it is to make it to Omaha.
