Lennie Waite will race the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the British Olympic Trials in Birmingham this weekend. A top-2 finish will clinch her spot on the team. The race will be on Sunday (at 8:46 a.m. CDT).

Earlier today, Lennie Waite competed at the European Track & Field Championships in Amsterdam. In the prelims of the 3,000 meter steeplechase, she ran 9:48.46 to finish with the 16th fastest time overall. Unfortunately, 15 advanced to finals. Her time was just 0.97 seconds away from qualifying.
