There are layers upon layers of information about this that need to be discussed.

Here's what we know

1) 50 people are dead in a Gay bar shooting in Orlando
2) The shooter is dead and was a US born citizen
3) He was of Afghan origin
4) It is Gay pride month.
5) There are lots of persons of Islamic heritage who go to Gay bars.
6) He used a pistol and an assault rifle to commit these killings

Here's what we don't know

1) Was this person a member of the Gay community? Was he kicked out of the bar last month?
2) Was it radical Islamic terrorism?
3) Where did he get the assault rifle? If illegal, where? If legally obtained, where?

Most mass shooters are essentially idiots, you have to be really to even be a mass shooter.

But, this guy did serious damage. He planned it and executed that plan well.

If we see more shooters like this guy I have no doubt the death tolls are only going to go up.

So I know nothing about guns. But I'm curious, how many rounds of ammunition can one get from an assault rifle. I'm trying to figure out how someone can kill 50 and injure 53 more without being tackled by someone trying to save their own life. In situations like this, you're supposed to hide first but in a last resort, you rush the attacker.

That's different Orlando. No place to park close to where you'll be. This club was an easy target because it was free standing and small.
