Per sources on Twitter, Coach Taylor will be named an assistant at UC Irvine under Coach Russell Turner.

Good for Blaine. Nice guy, who had some trouble I hope he has overcome. Wish him nothing but the best!

I think Blaine will be able to build a nice foundation for the program. He had some of the best Brick layers I ever had the privilege of watching. :-)

Jk, I wish him the best.

Sorry he's heading west but glad he got the gig. Was hoping he would get the Delaware job. He will do a great job.

Very happy for him and I firmly believe that if he can prove himself over a season or 2 - he will be a HC or high-level Asst Coach in the future.

BT was a mean drunk. He had no class. He crawled in a bottle and set this program back to where we were barely able to survive. You can only guess what he cost us. Goodbye and FU too!!!!

I believe BT's problems are what people refer to as demons. I have never dealt with true alcoholism so I can't really say how strong those demons really are. I do know BT was perfect for the program when he was hired and gave us years of fun at the Ted (and a minute or two at the Fieldhouse).

Good luck BT

Best of luck BT. His teams gave me the experience of a lifetime to go to New Orleans and see ODU win a NCAA game and though we lost a chance to see another game in DC. Plus the back to back CAA championships.

Sober BT is awesome. I like the guy, hope he is able to stay off the booze this time and wish him nothing but the best unless he plays the Monarchs.

I never had more fun doing TV than with Blaine...he would call plays off-camera during timeouts and be right 80% when the ball was inbounded...he could communicate to the listener coaching strategy without coach speak, I'll truly miss the guy.

In a way I kind of wish he'd remain a color guy. He was very good at it and I'm sure it's less pressure than being even an assistant coach.
