OT-Dorr / Douglas Intersection
New on the BX/Ohio bid board:

City of Toledo is taking bids on redoing the Dorr Street & Douglas Road intersection.

No estimated cost or work time frame is listed...

RE: OT-Door / Douglas Intersection
They could use something creative at the Dorr-Secor-whatever that street is. What a mess.

Dorr - Douglass? Doesn't seem a high priority. Save the money for important infrastructure like water lines or something.

Is there a reason? Seen someone wants a round-about at Dorr-Parkside. Maybe someone thinks this will better connect Main to Scott Park. Can't imagine any other entity with an interest in those two intersections but UT. Neither seem particularly high traffic or backed up.

They just finished a complete overhaul of Dorr/Secor/Byrne.

That might make it tough to get to Netty's while the construction is underway---hopefully the project doesn't drag on forever and put them out of business. Oh well, the one at the Monroe/Sylvania intersection is almost as close.

In the last few months? What they had before that was same old with nicer painted lines. I don't recall a change in the traffic pattern.

Been meaning to get back that way, I really like that Japanese restaurant next to Grad's. Be nice if they actually did find a way to alleviate that congested interchange.

Still, why a need to change at Douglas or Parkside? I've never been held up there even on game days. Of the nine (?) directions I can think it's possible to leave campus, that's the only one not congested. If there's an interchange in need of solution (other than Secor - Dorr) I would think it would be the main Bancroft entrance. That backs WAY up. Or the outlet of the parking garage. Rotary there would save a couple days over the course of a life-time.
