Illinois does NOT have cool uniforms. If the kid is thinking that we might just as well show him the highway entrance.

A whole bunch of assumption (I presume) and indictment in that, which may or may not have been the kid's reasoning but I agree, it's tough for a person to know what they want and that what they choose is going to give that. Whatever the kid's priorities, he came, he saw, he said, "nope." Could be, God forbid an athlete have such reasons, he just didn't like the academic set-up or the campus size there. He may end up not liking it here! If not, next man up.
