Found that project listed in the new Blazer Boosters brouchure.

Isn't that what Bell Gym is? Renovation? Otherwise I don't know where such a facility would be...

Also, is this something that was promised to Haase and would it still be on the table for Ehsan?

I haven't heard anything about this until it was listed under current projects in the new brouchure.

Bell Gym is currently the weight training facility for football and other various sports. It's possible this could be to revert that back to a hoops training facility if the large weight room moves to the new football facility.

I sincerely hope we do not use a hand me down bell. Some on this board believe that we are close to a top 25 program in spite of our sucking league rated below the sunbelt and other problems

We need to maintain basketball facilities if we have a prayer of staying competitive A modern separate practice facility is now a minimum for a big time program. That needs to be a fundraising goal

Some dont realize UAB's basketball potential.

Is it cheaper to build a new facility, or renovate Bell into something almost unrecognizable?

I thought the UAB Women's Darts Team had dibbs on Bell Gym going forward

You keep trying. That might catch on one day, but I doubt it.

I would assume the project would either be a renovation or demolition & rebuild of Wallace Gym. Wallace is still a basketball court. I don't think anything is happening to the Bell Building.
