This 'discussion' is not going to cease as long as Tubby is the coach in Memphis. He has principles and will not sell out for a recruit/play the game. Just not the way he operates.

I highly doubt the younger Lawson ever wears a Memphis jersey.

Some of you folks simply need to prepare yourself for underwhelming recruiting classes. That said, while his teams may not have the most talent, they will be well prepared, play their guts out, and over-achieve...more often than not.

While I would like to agree with you, I recognize the times for the most part - too many entertainment options in the world these days.

In 1988, going 20-12 and being an 11 seed would sell tickets.

In 2016, not so much.

Winning big sells tickets. I'll agree to that.

Tubby hasn't won big in a long time though.

We will see.
