Pretty entertaining reading...talking about the possibility of adding Buffalo as a 9th member. :D Of course, most people are pretty strongly against adding a team that sports a 7-59 record since moving up to IA. Just figured I'd provide you with some fun reading for the night!!

I used to pay more attention to that stuff, but it gets real old real quick.
Everytime that I see the suggestion of a Buffalo, Fordham, Villanova, UMass, Temple or Rhode Island it makes me feel a little better about being in C-USA.

No it's not interesting.
And I don't think it's a good idea to be posting a BE thread on the main CUSA board. Probably suited more better for the smack forum.
Go UAB!

Well, it's probably <a href='http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/stewart_mandel/05/31/mailbag/1.html' target='_blank'>not going to be Notre Dame</a>:
Quote:Looking at it from strictly a football point of view (and not a geographical one), is there any reason Notre Dame should not join the Big East?
--Trip, Chicago
You and I must be living in different realities, Trip, because I can't think of a single reason Notre Dame should join the Big East. In the new BCS contract, the Irish are automatically guaranteed a BCS bowl berth by finishing in the top eight. They could do the same thing playing in the Big East -- or, if someone else in the conference happens to finish higher, wind up in the Gator Bowl (or worse, since the Gator is looking to replace the Big East after this season).
Speaking of which, even if the Irish's bowl partnership with the Big East dissolves, bowls such as the Gator and Cotton would flip head over heels to make individual agreements with them. And the school makes far more money from its contract with NBC than it would from a share of even a renegotiated Big East deal with ABC. These reasons you speak of ... fill me in.

Please can you let us at least make it in to C-USA before bring on all this talk about who the Big East might be bringing in years from now. I'm really tired of posts like these.

All posters should be mindful of their language. Cursing will get the board blacklisted by the nanny software that is so popular these days...

Here's a tip then...don't read the post! Pretty sure I never stated I was hoping to go to the Big East...in fact, I've posted many times how happy I am to finally have all UCF spoorts in one conference, especially a conference like CUSA where I will actually get to travel to some road games as well as recognize the opponents each week.

On it's own accord, I don't have a problem with your post Mike. However, I am somewhat disturbed by the fascination of the some of the fans of C-USA schools with the possibility of Big East expansion. As a UCF fan who is excited that we just ended our affiliation with the ASun, it's somewhat of a downer to come over here and read about the BigEast expansion. Whether or not it is stated in the post that the poster is hoping to move on to the BigEast, the number of posts on this type of stuff do lead one to believe that someone here is certainly looking to move on. And why wouldn't they? The BigEast (for now) is a BCS conference and we are not. But for the time being I'm just going to keep saying to myself.....C-USA is a BCS conference and we all plan on staying here......UCF will be 11-0 this year not 0-11.....and Alyssa Milano is my girlfriend.

who cares
if they want to add buffalo of all teams... let 'em
that just makes our case for being as strong or stroger of a conference to get that BCS money from them. as long as we all hold our own and take care of buisness that should be obtained
