Coach Hasse put a good product on the floor then went out and sold it to the community.

It may have been a factor, no one here can know for sure. My opinion is he left because it was school from one of the so-called Power 5 leagues that has shown a degree of past basketball success. It is also much easier for North Carolina to sell hiring the Stanford head coach than the UAB head coach when Roy Williams retires.

Haase was gone long before that too. Wouldnt surprise me if he reached out to daddy to take him back like Magee did except daddy got him another HC job.

Why would UNC hire Haase when they could hire anybody in a heartbeat? Why would they want Roy jr when Roy has been there 20 with 2 NCs

Wow. So know you're implying that Roy Williams is not a successful coach?

In the 13 seasons Williams has been head coach at UNC he has won 2 National Championships. No Division I Men's basketbal coach has surpassed that Championship total during that time span. Yeah, no one would want to continue that coaching philosophy.

They are so good you don't even know their names. And you are going to knock people for coaching at UNC and Kansas and then mention Kentucky and duke?(self is the coach at Kansas by the way, you are arguing in circles now) Then you mention Ollie, with no mention of Izzo, or guys like Marshall and Few. Brilliant.

Lol i dont know their names. How nice of you to join MB jr.. I dont have to post every name you two should know them. Hell Jay Wright is one away lol. I didnt knock him lol he has had two of the easiest coaching jobs in 28 years and produced a whopping 2NC. I didnt know Marshall and Few won NCs. Arguing in circles i havent argued any thing. Go cheer the best UaB basketball season ever with no ncaa tournament bid im sitting back basking in it.

What Billy D did at UF is more impressive and he didnt have a basketball scandal.

You said Kansas was an easy place to coach and then said self was a great coach. That's the circular argument.

My point is in 28 years of being a HC hes won 2NC both at UNC. Someone posted since he came to UNC no one has surpass his NC total, which is true but three has tied him up Jimmy C, Billy D, and currently the best coach in coach coach k.

Then i said since its only two NCs he has. Jay Wright,Billy Self, Rick P., coach Cal, and a few more just need one more NC to tie it. Ollie got his first NC wayyy before Ol Roy did in coaching years.

Yeah, Williams have only won two national championships, but only five coaches in history have won more.

Wooden 10
Coach K 5
Rump 4
Knight 3
Calhoun 3

These have two championships

Denny Crum Louisville 2
Billy Donovan Florida 2
Henry Iba Oklahoma State 2
Ed Jucker Cincinnati 2
Branch McCracken Indiana 2
Rick Pitino Kentucky, Louisville 2
Dean Smith North Carolina 2
Roy Williams North Carolina 2
Phil Woolpert San Francisco 2

Only 14 coaches in the history of the sport have multiple championships. That puts him in pretty select company.

Your turn.
