RE: 2017 Baseball Recruits
New recruit for the 2017 class:

Randy Prosperi, a RHP from Fairfax, VA (Woodson HS). 6'5" and 205 lbs. Hits 87 mph with the heater.

From PrepBaseballReport:
'1.18.16: Prosperi has a projectable 6-4 frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot. His fastball has a lot of run and deception. His changeup had sinking action and good armspped. He threw a slider that had good 10/4 action to it.'

RE: 2017 Baseball Recruits
Is there a reason that baseball never announced this signing class and the freshman aren't on the online roster? Practice has already started so I don't really understand what they're waiting on

It was updated finally. I didn't look closely, but I don't think I saw Wm. Moore.

You didn't see any of these players because they graduate high school in 2017. They'll be on the team next year.

Haney made first team for VA/DC. This is what they have to say:
"Haney is a William & Mary recruit with a big arm who has flashed his ace potential during the last two years and is the key piece on the pitching staff for a Covenant School team that is poised to challenge for a VISAA Division II championship"

Aljo Sujak was named third-team all-state for New Jersey. From NJ.com:
"Third team: Aljo Sujak, Tenafly, Sr., 6-2, 185 lbs, outfielder
Sujak, who is headed to William and Mary, finished tied for the state lead with 11 home runs. He hit .485 with 23 runs and 30 RBI on the season.

RE: 2017 Baseball Recruits
William and Mary has picked up a commitment from IF Colin Lipke (6'1" 200lbs Greensboro, NC), a transfer from Guilford Tech (NJCAA Div 2). During his sophomore season he hit .384/.500/.727 with 18 doubles, 13 homeruns, and 27 walks compared to 28 strikeouts. He is playing this summer for the Kernersville Bulldogs of the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League.

RE: 2017 Baseball Recruits
This is one of the reasons why I like college baseball. Coaches pick up kids like this via the transfer route. Having the right connections to networks of JC coaches is critical to landing guys who can play. There is a limit to the number of schlorships for baseball. I think it's 11. Let's hope we are funding the maximum.
