O-Line looks strong
Looking at pereseason magazine, the o-line along with our RB's could be huge strength for us. We have 4 starters back and most are sophmores and juniors so it sets up well for next year also.

Trevon Tate LT
Drew Kyser C
Gabe Kuhn RT
Chris ROberson (Listed as a backup but started last year and is the only senior)

One JUCO transfer listed as a starter, Lio Lafaele RG

Zach Collins LG is listed as a starter that did not start last year.

Having a good running game sets things up nicely.

RE: O-Line looks strong
Our wideouts and slot receivers are all very good too. Our offense could be more potent this year than last year if Riley can be an effective game manager, sort of like what AJ McCarron did at bama

This. An awful lot depends on Riley's development. If he's slow coming around, our rushing and passing games will both suffer.

Yes, very good starting 5 with good depth. Interested in seeing Tate over at LT - he has good footwork, but big shift going from RT to LT. He's got Sunday potential, though.

I think Davis will push Riley during pre-season camp ... I liked what I saw of him during the Spring Game ...

If the returning players and the new comers mesh early as a group then we could do very well this year. Line play is as much about team work as it is winning your individual battle on each play.

The O-line will miss Fallon and Mack. They were very good. And Alan Cross is gone too. They have some work to do to replace those guys blocking ability.

Do you even watch the games? Mack got beat out by Tate by the middle of the season and hardly played the last 4-5 games.

Maybe it's me, but seems like Fallon and Mack had a lot of holding penalties called on them.

I've wondered how Jackson Dillon would do at Tight End. He's got a good build for it.

I don't wanna searchengine it. It's too early here to get lost in FB terms.

Somebody (please) just tell me the difference quick.

Wideout from Slot Receiver?

He played a lot of the time. He was banged up some. He did well, that's why he is with the Cowboys now. Tate is good no doubt.

Wideout from Slot Receiver?

I believe the slot receiver lines up between the lineman and wideout (more or less). They are typically smaller than wideouts but quick and tend to be possession receivers. Think of someone like Wes Welker.

The wide-out lines up on the line of scrimmage as the offensive player farthest away from the quarterback and nearest the sideline. The slot receiver lines up a step back off the line of scrimmage between the wide-out and the tackle.

Will certainly help with breaking in a new QB.

Thanks for additional insight.

It seems he would be a perfect fit for the slot position. I was surprised Fuente did not use him there more last year.

I don't see this at all.. PL put plenty of balls on the money, yet, we still had countless drops.
