I think the Huskies are too good to lose to Wyoming, however I might be inclined to take the Cowboys at +10.
Laramie is weird, it's kind of creepy and unlike any place NIU has traveled to. You'd have to see it to know what I mean, but I don't think it's an ideal place to start a season. The Cowboys also should be improved this season - they've been playing a lot of kids trying to build up their program.
I also think it's worth a flyer to play Bowling Green. The Falcons have played in big games, have motivation to play well against the dominant in-state team, and I can see Urban Meyer take his foot off the gas if the Buckeyes jump all over the Falcons early in the game. As an Ohio guy and former coach of BGSU, I don't think he has any desire to embarrass them so Bowling Green might land a nice backdoor cover.

I understand your reasoning behind the 10 point spread...but I will be quite disappointed if NIU only wins by 10 or less. It should be a laugher.
Your point about BGSU makes perfect sense to me, my only fear for the falcons not covering will be the new QB having to play his first game at the Horseshoe....not exactly easing in to it.

I'm taking NIU, WMU, and Toledo with those spreads. I think we end up winning by 2 or 3 touchdowns against Wyo.

Urban will try to score 70.

One thing that concerns me on the Wyoming game is the elevation. It will play a factor for NIU, we have to be conditioned, and conditioned well. The elevation is almost 7200 feet, and those that are not used to it will feel light headed and nauseated. Being conditioned will be key. Might make sense for the team to go an extra day early....

The elevation factor is an undeniable fact. But, you cannot say that on this board or you will be accused of being a downer saying that NIU should not play at Wyoming.

The Huskies need to at least double the spread vs Wyoming for two big reasons. They need to show that last year's late season slide is over, and they are going to need some "garbage time" to get ready for their next two opponents.

Ha Ha true. We are happy they are traveling West, more games out here! I hope you attend DF, need you at the tailgate. Punters/Kickers are really the only ones that will love the elevation.

Depth and rotation will be key. All players that travel will see the field.

If Hare doesn't start, I would never bet NIU laying points.

This is great advice. I don't want to see Graham under center ever again. Sorry....he might have been injured but my Gram could have performed better in that Boise game. Awful.
Also take OSU. Take oppo Vegashuskie all day every day.
