With ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU trying to fit 8 super regionals into finite number of TV windows, it did UM no favors with game times. Here goes: UM plays BC at 5 p.m. Friday and noon Sat (both ESPNU), and noon Sun. if needed on ESPN2 or U. Poor start times for attendance at Mark Light.

RE: 2016 Regional thread
State blew it. They got an RBI groundout, leaving them with a 5-4 lead and 2 outs, with runners on 2nd & 3rd. They followed with a hit by pitch, a 2 RBI single, and an RBI single. State then went down in order in the bottom of the 9th and lost 7-5 to end their season.
I realize it was a long weekend for the pitching staff, but with potentially only needing 2 outs and your season on the line, you'd think you would have sent a better pitcher out there. State threw Evan Brabrand, who has a 6.65 ERA on the season. That's good for 15th out of 17 pitchers on their staff. The pitching staff has plenty of time to rest up now though.

Poor decision-making

So is Elliot Avent gonna catch more flack now for arguing balls 'n strikes to the point of being suspended for NC State's last two games?

He should. Nobody does less with more than Avent.
Of course that's SOP in Raleigh.

You know the pitching decision was all Avent. Play was interrupted for 14 hours. You can't tell me the Head Coach didn't dictate who was starting the top of the 9th again in that dire situation even if he's not in the dugout.
