I'm reference to the cbs article above, that is just Dodd from CBS rabel rousing. He is the opposite of a reliable media figure in expansion

Seems like someone in the Big 12 are sending mixed signals. They say no expansion earlier, and then this article came out after the tweets. Is the Big 12 going to expand or not? Bowlsby is signaling that there could be. They could be arguing who would be 11, 12, 13 and 14th team.

The media LOVES expansion chatter since it generates them traffic. It is that simple. The article is flawed since ESPN submitted a bid for the first half for the rights knowing there could be additional expenses from the Big 12.

Industry experts have been predicting that NBC and Turner are getting the second half of the rights anyways.

If the Big 12 expands, then more power to them. But it is highly doubtful they would do it 4 schools at a time.

At this point, don't want them. SEC is the perfect size and I don't think that they will add much to the league. We don't seem to have a problem getting respect from the CFP committee, so why change things up?

This

I don't think it would be a good 50 year decision for OU in the end.

SEC should go after a UNC/Duke combo to up the level of basketball.

They do? Since when has UNC football owned anything at all, much less the whole state?

Adding BYU, Boise State, Cincinnati and Memphis to the Big 12 could boast their SOS as well. That is another part that is killing the Big 12 right now as well. Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma State and even Oklahoma get bashed for having an easy schedule compare the other conferences because they only have 10 members. Adding UConn, UCF and USF right now with Cincinnati would not help the SoS especially when you have Kansas and Iowa State as weak schools in the conference.

Playing Kansas St. is weak but playing BYU and Memphis will make it better?

Better than playing Kansas and Iowa State or Lamar, Rice, SMU, Sam Houston State and those types.

David they get bashed for playing weak OOC schedules, their conference schedules are fine. Those programs are already taking steps to strengthen their OOC SOS. Furthermore, Oklahoma fans want to play football brands like Ohio St & Nebraska or Alabama & Arkansas & not schools like BYU, Boise, Cincinnati & Memphis.

To be fair, Oklahoma would be in the west division of either league and would only play Nebraska or Arkansas (of the schools listed) yearly. OU would rarely see Ohio St. or Alabama (assuming the Tide moved to the east), unless they met in the conference title game.

RE: Oklahoma To The SEC Soon?
OU/KU go to the B1G. UT/ND to the ACC. SEC takes TCU/OSU. Pac takes KSU, TTech.

AAC adds WVU, ISU, Baylor.

I don't see these moves as pre packaged unless its the pac 12 jumping to 18 or 20 with big 12 school's. No reason for leagues to expand unless they get some prime beef. The concept of the pac 12/sec being bribed to destroy their conference to take some leftovers is insane and will never happen.

Oklahoma fans want to play teams like Iowa and Minnesoata or Miss St. and Vanderbilt not teams like Texas and TCU. At least that's what I heard.

I have a lot of friends who are Oklahoma Sooners and Okie State fans said they would love to play Boise State every year than some of the schools OU do play any day. They also claim Boise State as their second favorite team after OU. If you do the right things that Boise State done, and impress fans from the P5 schools? It means that you are noticed, and people would loved to see that school play in person like Boise State. These fans that are my friends would love to see Boise State on the schedule every year, and not just once in a lifetime.

At one time there was a lot of respect out there for Southern Miss like that but it died.

The BCS system felt more permissible. One year 2 non-AQ schools made their way into BCS bowl. WAC & MWC were 9 team conferences where 1 really good team could move the computer ratings of an entire league.

The P5 has learned their lesson to schedule up so it doesn't happen again.
