Its obvious by the "with only 10 team remark" by the previous poster was clueless that the Big 12 worked with the ACC to change the Conf Championship Game rules...which were changed months ago that allows conferences with less than 12 members to host a champ game...plus, allows conf to host a conf champ game even without 2 divisions (i.e. play round robbin of entire conf...which the Big 12 has done over last few years by playing 9 conf games0.

Put it like this FOX and Big 12 came to an agreement but FOX is getting 2 more teams and demand it even....They want more on air content per week....They could add the CCG this year if wanted, but its 2017 because they WILL add 2 more teams Named Memphis and Cincy....Boren and the Big 12 said they Quote Still are looking at Expansion, because they Already Know they are gonna add Memphis and Cincy....Its STILL coming....Patience Is A Virtue....No Limits....The World Is Ours Memphis....

I don't claim to know what FOX or ESPN want or demanded, but the B12 could not have added a CCG in 2016...the logistics of pulling it together that quickly would've been nearly impossible.

No they couldn't...as Big 12 finalized their 2016 Conf Football Schedule back in Nov...and just like in recent years...Big 12 already has multiple regular season conf games for Championship Saturday (1st Sat in Dec)...as Big 12 teams get an extra "bye week" during the regular season.

Later this fall...when 2017 Big 12 Regular Season Schedule is finalized...their regular season will end on Thanksgiving Weekend..just like in the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, etc...so Big 12 will have their Conf Championship Game on that 1st Weekend in Dec.

So some believe that the Big 12 will say no the FedEx sponsorship of the title game and deny the Tigers admission ?

Note the reference to the additional $$ the conference game will generate . This is about $$.

Jerry Jones has always told the Big 12 that he has wanted to host the Big 12 Championship Game again...as he can turn his palace into 100,000 seat high roller money maker machine...both for himself and the conf...and that's before $1 is gained in a TV deal.

For the record, I am a Central FL fan.

I am a 1966 Lyman HS graduate from Longwood, FL. But that was long before Disney and your school. I left Orlando and came to Memphis because my Dad lived here . Few educational options in Orlando then. Mostly snowbirds .

So here is hoping the crazy Big 12 goes to 14 and UCF is in.

Uh, most of the media think expansion is still on. Not sure if it's June, but most think it's 2016.
