LSU game to be delayed min. 3 hours and won't start until 5 pm at the earliest. 2nd game is TBA. Looking at the radar, it wouldn't surprise me if we don't play at all today.

Our conference USA mates FAU lose 5-1. Ohio State, once up 5-0, now trails Wright State 6-5 in the 8th.

T Tech now ahead 8-1. Miss State now trails SE Missouri 5-4. Coastal Carolina wins 5-2.

Ohio State just tied Wright State 6-6 in the B9th. OSU still batting with one on and one out.

Ohio State stormed back to beat Wright St in the bottom of the ninth. The winning run scored on a two out bases loaded single. 7-6.

Washington and UCSB have been locked in a pitcher's duel for 8 innings. It's still 1-1.

This delay was called so early that I doubt it gives anyone much of an advantage or disadvantage either way. It might help us a bit if there are delays in the LSU-Utah Valley game after they finally do start it.

If Rice can't play today, there still will be 3 games tomorrow. The NCAA won't make a team play 3 times in one day - it's against the rules.

I'm thinking there are tactical pros/cons in either direction, but just an extra day of rest in general for the arms can't be a bad thing.

I guess in theory this means you could start DuP tomorrow ... but guessing that we'll stick with the original plan.

No way. As I mentioned, Blake is the far better matchup vs. SELA...and it now gives Dup his normal rest period.

According to Rick Mello, yes. The Rice hitters just left the hotel to Alex Box stadium to take batting practice inside.
