It should come as no surprise.

DON'T GO AWAY MAD

reap the benefits by joining in toto ...
or stay apart ...
subsidizing our lavish lifestyle ...
and you will ...
because there's no way getting around it except going cold turkey ...

CLUELESS

The woman on the left is a conservative talk show guest. The woman in the middle prechews her babies food and spits it in her mouth like a bird and the woman on the right is dead. This has nothing to do with the thread but rather just random observation.

Wow - The world changes FAST!

I think that ND's specialness is going away, and I think that ND's desire to be Indy is slowly fading. It will be a while, but I think that the Irish will eventually be full members.

However, I'm pretty content w/ the ACC as is. The conference has its faults for sure, but it is a great conference.

People have been saying the first sentence since the Fifties, yet here we are.

Do you have any references, quotes or citations for this "slowly fading" desire by ND to be independent?

I don't think that ND football will be a conference member unless champs only legislation is passed for eligibility to a four team playoff happens (which I personally seriously doubt will occur).

That said, I am content with the status quo between the ACC and ND. I hope that it never gets more involved than it is right now.

1. ND has been fading since then. When's your last NC? I want to say it was around 88. That's almost 30 years.

2. I obviously haven't done a statistically accurate study, but I don't know a recent alum who cares about being Indy. Admittedly, I only know about 3-4 alums and 1 only went there for grad school, but none of them care. You and all the older alums that I know care. Once you guys aren't here anymore, and once ND is pushing ~50 years w/o a NC, what's going to stop ND from joining?
