SEC proposing moving the conference tournament final to Saturday and ACC recently moved to Saturday which opens Sunday for use to be one of the key games. Should we stay or should we go basically.

Will need to move to Saturday if BYU joins the American. Might as well do it now as an article of good faith.

Which is a huge advantage for exposure for AAC...as the Semi's are on Saturday and Quarterfinals are on Friday afternoon and Friday Primetime.

Back in the CUSA Days...the Champ game was on Saturday MORNING...meant Semi's had to be on Friday afternoon (no primetime coverage), and the quarters were on Thur.

Having top games on Fri/Sat/Sun is key for AAC...helps those few that want to travel to attend the tourn to do so.

AAC is "thrilled" with their tourn coverage/exposure/days and start times.

PS. Not surprised the OP didn't have a clue on when his own conf plays their tourn games.

I wouldn't worry about exposure, there's plenty of good teams in the American. I'd worry more about seeding and getting teams in the tourny. The head of the selection committee stated this past year that by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around, they've pretty much already made their decisions, so playing on Sunday could actually hurt you if you have a team on the bubble that played well in your conference tournament.

Maybe if ECU actually had a coach that could get us there...

It's actually a bad thing that the AAC ends its tourney on Sunday.

That typically means that the committee's slots look at only two scenarios, an AAC CG upset or the autobid going to the favorite. If the favorite is on the bubble, they might just easily exclude them on the basis of losing the championship.
