Baseball coach Dan McDonnell receives a contract extension for 10-years, over $1 million per year. This makes him the highest paid college baseball coach in the country!

Is it any wonder why the ACC chose the University of Louisville? Is there another athletic program in the country with a higher combined $ contract for head coaches between football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball?
That is some kind of commitment!

Every year we fight the battle to keep him. He has had opportunities and stayed. Hopefully this gets him a nice raise as well.

Coach Williams is a nice man. He, wife, and daughter sit by us at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium. They are a nice family. l hopt we can kept hlm, he deserves a raise also.

Coach McDonnell has earned his raise, because he is the cornerstone of the Louisville baseball program!

They didn't mention it in the presser yesterday, but I'd be willing to bet McDonnell's raise also came with a pretty nice increase for his assistant coach's as well. Williams will be on a lot of short lists for open jobs, so hopefully they'll make it lucrative for him to stay.

When can we hire their AD to run the ACC? Hey, I will be cool with having him be Louisville's AD AND the ACC commish at the same time.
