First the Grizz sign Chalmers and now Van Exel is asst coach. Do they go out of their way to piss off Tiger fans?

You just now figuring that out? For a couple years at least they drafted players who ate the Tigers alive in the tournament.

The Griz are hiring the best qualified people and players to continue the team's outstanding success.

No. They just want to piss off the ones that continue to believe that hiring ex-Tiger players remarkably increases attendance and lines the pockets of a billionaire owner.

The Grizzlies give 2 craps what Tiger fans think, which happens to be 2 more than they should.

The great thing about The Grizz, is they appeal to a large crossover of sports fans. Who they bring in to the team that whipped up on the Tigers, is nothing more than the past. Welcome Fizz to the Grizz.

Go Tigers!

I think Van Exel was on the Cincy team that beat the Tigers four straight times - including once in the Elite 8. He was a heck of a player.

RE: More Tiger related then Pastner house thread-Van Exel
I was at three of the four games we lost to Cinnci that year. I was at the National Championship game. Yet, it doesn't bother me at all that the Griz signed Mario or that they're hiring Nick. All that matters is whether he'll be a good assistant coach for us. To expect the Griz organization to tell a coach they just hired that he can't pick an assistant because he played well against the Tigers many years ago is completely asinine.

You forgot Arthur, Conley, and Carroll. 03-banghead

But Penny and EP own the team, so they can make NVE's work experience a living hell!Fuel To The Fire

Ahem... Elite 8. We beat Georgia Tech in the sweet 16 in 1992.

Van Exel has had to deal with a very tough issue in his personal life:

Van Exel is a good guy and a great point guard when he played for the Mavericks.

I'm not familiar with the frick currency. Why does it have 3 numbers after the decimal? It's a very unique system and Im curious to learn more.
