Could be interesting. I've always wondered with so much talk about conference realignment why don't teams and or conferences skip changing sides and just play each other more often; i.e. 5 year home/ home agreement that can be sponsored by Fox, Under Armour, or somebody.

It would probably draw huge money and interest that would benefit each team/conference.

I think if more evenly matched teams played, college football would be more interesting and could grow considerably. What to do with the money is another discussion.

I'd love to see something like this. Even if its not a full 14 vs. 14 each year but say 7 and 7 rotating every couple years who participates.

I don't know. I guess it helps the problem of scheduling OOC games somewhat, but I like the ability to see a variety of teams and locations.

RE: B1G-SEC Football Challenge
I'm indifferent about a Big Ten - SEC Challenge. I think the Big Ten would do better than expected but who knows? It will probably be rigged to have the top teams from each league play a bottom-feeder to make each other look good. The Big Ten and SEC already play enough bowl games against each other.

It makes me wonder why the two conferences don't try to work together and "merge" instead of more or less competing against each other. Imagine having the SEC and Big Ten combine the conference networks and all the new homes they'd each get. Imagine if they came to the negotiating table for their television rights package and had all the football brands and basketball brands available for great product all year round (almost). Imagine getting SEC games into New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, etc. for exposure. Imagine opening up recruiting pipelines in the south. You don't even have to merge into one conference, just have these challenges together, split television revenues, and whatever else. It would print money and you could probably get almost any other school to join the club.

Didn't the Big 10 try this with the Pac 10/12 a few years back? Both conferences backed off from what I recall.

Yeah, their was a scheduling agreement of some sort, then it fell apart, and ND went to the ACC, so the Big Ten added us. 02-13-banana
