In football, the Mississippi States of the world play crap for OOC relying on their CONFERENCE schedule to give them the numbers they need to get in the playoffs should they do well.

Why doesn't the conference help carry good competitors within the conference if they are ranked that high. Maybe we didn't play the best teams OOC, but we took 2 out of 3 from ODU who did play a great OOC, etc.

I don' think we're ready for that kind of tournament in baseball, yet, anyway. I think we use this year as a ladder to maybe get where we want to be and make sure it wasn't a fluke season. One season does not make a dynasty kind of thing. But the fact remains there are double standards and it will always fall whichever way screws the little guy. Of that you can be sure.

it's tough at times being a fan of a g5 team....you guys had one helluva run this season....take pride in that...players (recruiting) will notice those things if the monies can be spent as the success continues to evolve...

you guys really need to build an on campus facility to help justify 'that' dedication with some credence...a 45 min drive to a home game is just a tough sell....just like it is for us in hoops with our 1960's yurt dungeon...

your dead nuts on with the last two statements....

I do think a 30-game league schedule is enough to hold more credence than it obviously does.

As far as non-conference, specifically mid-week, it's next to impossible to build a resume for an at-large bid in this area. That holds true for Kent State, WVU, Marshall, and all the schools in this part of the country. The deck is stacked in that regard.

But again, a 30 game league schedule is more than enough to earn more weight than it clearly carries.

it's what being a g5er is at this point.....

there's an old saying in the market....."don't fight the tape".....

we only have feathers to combat with....

you guys have a valid argument.....however, it's what/how collegiate athletics has evolved into....

it's class division...

it's politics....

it's unwinnable for the small guy now.....
