Good start by Amador. Maybe he'll be an unlikely hero today.

Roberts is not mentioned in Walt's USM preview in April.

He's a transfer from Alabama Southern CC.

Roberts has had at least one or two atrocious outings. We need to tee off on him.

Owls very patient at the plate to start the game to no reward. Ryan caught stealing on 2-2 count. Ford goes 6-3 on full count.

I hope that was sarcastic.

USM is teeing off on mistake pitches ( both foul thank goodness). Otherwise, he's keeping the ball down and throwing strikes. And who would you suggest they relieve him?

Gray double
Tekyl walk

Runners advance on wild pitch, while Lewis was trying to bunt.

2-2 pitch bounced in too. But Lewis K's on check-swing called third strike. "He went," JP opines the umps assessment.

Mound visit by USM pitching coach.

I disagree. He worked the count full and couldn't hold up on a nasty breaking pitch. I've seen a lot worse.

And he induced a WP to move the runners up.
