that is just sick. There must be so much money floating around Ann Arbor they use hundred dollar bills to heat the offices.

Stephen Ross gave Michigan 200 mill in 2013. 100 of it was for athletics. I have not heard of them getting a bigger donation than that. WMU received a 100 million donation in 2011.

About 0.23% of UM's Athletic Budget.

Ross' 200 million was the largest donation to date in UM's 4 billion dollar 7 year capital drive.

Really, thats not the point. Can they afford it, yes. However, at a time when schools are struggling it gives the impression that UM is clueless. Does the UM football team really need to do this to get better recruits? They can only take 25. If a UM coach does not have enough great things to say about UM and needs this off campus practice, you have to wonder.

I don''t think the University of Michigan is struggling. It's the Harvard of the Midwest.

IMG is also one of the richest High Schools in the country. With ex NFL players as coaches. I have no problem with Michigan spending big bucks. They're a historically rich program. No different then Notre Dame, Bama.....National Championships bring lots of dough.

You do realize U of M's spring practice fell over their spring break, so instead of staying in Ann Arbor and not letting the players have fun over break. Harbaugh took them to Florida and opened up his final practice there. Harbaugh takes advantage of the open check book he has. If MAC schools had that kind of money we would do it too.

why should UM worry about how other schools are struggling?
