Cincinnati's Big 12 case in Austin paper
This is good stuff. Reporter Brian Davis came to Cincinnati to look at UC's case for Big 12 expansion and talked to everybody.

Loved the article, especially the historic piece of Cincinnati helping out Texas. But did not like the top photo. Could UC not have provided a better picture?

Heard someone already sent in a Freedom of Information Act to see if any dept at UC paid for that reporter's travel and expenses. 03-wink(General would be against most respected writers tenants too, unless specified in said article).

Bottom line...its interesting that the Austin paper has done breakdown on a lot of potential expansion candidates yet the local "power" school (Texas) is "publicly" and strongly against expansion.

Could just be a smoke screen to help UT secure best offer to switch LHN to Big 12 TV Network (i.e. it would take a lot more than their current $15 million annual payment to make that switch).

Thanks Dan. Enjoyed your talk with the guy from the Austin Statesman on Friday on 1530. Great job hosting the show. Wish we could hear more of you on Cincinnati sports talk

Doesn't say they will but suggests they could (if attendance is a concern).

We really did a job on Murray that game. Too bad we couldn't seal the deal.

I think playing TX or OK at PBS would only be until Nippert was expanded to 50,000 to 55,000.

The Suite and Club Seat Buyers are not going to accept being relegated to PBS long term for the biggest opponents.

Exactly...hence why ALL games should remain at Nippert...as if ALL of the biggest games each and every year are moved to the NFL Stadium...it hurts the value (and selling price that UC can get) of all of the brand new high price amenity seating.

A very scary moment in Oklahoma football. You don't think that the other blue bloods aren't aware of what WILL happen if Cincinnati gets into a P5. Don't fool yourself. Most of all P5's will be more than happy to keep UC forever on the outside looking in. Been fun watching all the side stepping and shuck and jiving being done by the P5 schools, they have EVERY reason to be afraid of Cincinnati. I find it amusing myself.

It's pretty ****** from this side of the fence.
