RE: Tulane @ Ohio State 2018
This is one of the 4 slots OSU had to fill when they bought out all remaining games against Cincinnati back in 2009.

Apparently we are getting north of $1.5MM for this. I'm OK with it. Would prefer more games against Ole Miss, MS State, Vandy etc., but this will be a fun one-offer.

I'm ok with it for that price. Tulane isn't exactly in the position to demand 1-1 maybe a 2-1 but if this is just a one time money game ok. As long as our schedule isn't filled with money games then it's all good.

.
Texas, Georgia, Alabama, North Florida & Louisiana is where our current staff has very deep and long lasting recruiting roots. We'll put on the lipstick now, but things can change quickly, as any Memphis, Houston, Temple & UCF can tell you.
The point that I was making is not about recruiting footprint, but being able to boast to a recruit that Tulane will play the best of the best. Don't you (recruit) want to be part of the Tulane upswing?

The justification/"all is good" mentality makes me want to .
1 and done pay-games are a bottom-of-the-barrel G5 practice. No price tag justifies this kind of scheduling. This kind of sh!t doesn't belong in the AAC. Get on the same page or get out.

Then go puke.... I would rather do a money game then give in to what Miss St or LSU would want. Tulane at the moment really can't demand much. Plus I would rather play a game up north for the alumni against Ohio state than say Rutgers, Syracuse or B.C.

That's some mighty big talk coming from a UConn football fan. Good luck Francis!

We have a lot of success doing 1-1 with pretty strong opponents Over the years. Obviously this is a dress rehearsal for big 10.. (Tongue in cheek)
Don't worry about Tulane getting games. We will have plenty.

Way to go off topic. I didn't say anything about UCONN or Tulane's football performance.
When it comes to scheduling, UCONN doesn't do anything less than a 1:1 so, ya, I guess this UCONN fan can comment on the topic.
