Art Briles fired. Ken Starr demoted. Sexual assaults by players swept under rug. Will probably be the lead story on not only Sports Center, but all the major networks tonight. Be sure and watch. This will rival Penn State's problems with Joe Paterno. Not good.

That program has a history of that sort of stuff.

Only when they began winning. No problems during all those years when Texas was beating their brains out every season. As someone said, if they had been going one and ten instead of ten and one, this wouldn't even make the news. You win big, you're under the microscope, unless you're Alabama or someone who has won consistently for many years. You start winning when you haven't been, you had best cross all your t's and dot all your i's. You can bet that we'll be watched closely for any indiscretions if we start winning big. We had better be very careful to make sure something like this doesn't happen to us. When I think of programs who weren't winners but became winners, I think of Gonzaga and Wichita State. So far they've done well without problems. But sometimes you sell your soul to win, and that's when you get hammered.
