That's essentially what the Bernie Sanders campaign and his followers are upset about....
but he's obviously not only looking 'right' when he says that.
Frankly, I don't think it matters WHAT the Democrats throw at Trump... nor do I think he's spending a lot of time fighting them. He seems to react off the cuff with VERY little thought about the political ramifications. It takes him about 5 minutes to respond to 20 charges.
The people who support him aren't listening to the stupid attacks, and the people who are against him aren't going to be any MORE against him because of them. The people who are open (and lots of Sanders supporters) aren't interested in (and many of them hate) the STUPID attacks (like saying that Trump has called for banning Muslims, as opposed to temporarily halting the acceptance of foreigners from Islamic countries until we can restore confidence in our system of vetting immigrants or asylum seekers).. but are VERY interested in exactly what Trump might mean by that in practice, which still remains to be seen/discussed.
There really isn't anything new to learn about Hillary, which is the democrats problem. If you don't already like her, there isn't much she could say that would make anyone like her... IMO, the election hinges on Trump and how he explains his 'vision' going forward... The attacks, the bombastic comments (by all) are meaningless... except to those who are already decided and already motivated.
I mean let's get real for a minute about the 'respect' of the office. Trump is a loudmouth braggart, but he's also a successful international businessman. He is FAR more successful/respected for his business savvy than say Kim Jong Un, who has all of Trump's failings and none of his positives.... and the world HAS to deal with him. So even if someone sees Trump as being 'that bad' (which is silly) then all you have to know is that the rest of the world still gives in to him an awful lot. We also see Putin as a loudmouth and braggart... as was Castro... as have many others been. Trump is VASTLY superior to most of them, so while I certainly won't be PROUD that he is my President, I'd rather have someone I don't respect than someone I don't believe. Those seem to be my (and everyone else's) choices.
Even many democrats I know don't believe Hillary... they just support her 'ends' and hold their nose as to the 'means'.
All that needs to be said, and nearly impossible for a Hillary supporter to look someone in the eye and say they trust her.

The double edged sword of our leaders insisting that we (as a people) 'respect' leaders of other countries who are totalitarians and braggarts and buffoons and racists and even murderers (eschewing American exceptionalism) is that they are now required to respect ours.
THIS is the problem for the Hillary folks... that people like me who REALLY REALLY don't want to vote for Trump (and still probably won't because my vote won't matter) are only being encouraged to do so because we're being pushed to be more and more accepting of people like Ahmadinejad and Castro and Kim, much less those with whom we simply disagree on relatively minor things...
so why should we 'hire' another person who asks us to compromise even more of OUR values so that people like these don't need to compromise THEIRS? Sure it may hurt us a bit with our Allies like the Russians and French who screwed us over in Iraq... but they're acting in THEIR best interests, so why shouldn't we act in ours? I'm not saying I'm there yet... but I AM saying that the more people tell me the international world will be 'bothered' by having to deal with Trump, the less that bothers me. Their PEOPLE might be, but their leaders won't.

Yes, should be beneath legitimate journalists also.
Think a lot of them are just hoping to elicit a meltdown from him.

Getting elected. He'll say whatever he has to whenever he has to say it.
Conservatives went nuts claiming Kerry and Obama were doing this. Now, they don't seem to care.
Team over Country.
The irony of this "Team over Country" mantra does not escape me having been through the last 8 years of King Zero's leadership.

Funny, If Trump were running as a Democrat, That race with Trump, Hillary & Bernie would have been over long ago and Libs would be praising the Donald and fear mongering any Republican running against him as a Loony Tune War monger. It all really is only about that "D" or "R" next to the name. All 17 Republicans were shamed in some way by the Left Wing MSM and CNN, MSNBC networks at any given point while They were running. Hillary was given the Official "hall pass" for the most part of this campaign. Luckily Bernie wasn't buying into it and neither will Donald.

If I had the time, I could put together a very long list of him supporting both sides of a position. He even admitted that he's malleable.

Ludicrous. Birther Trump would NEVER be accepted in the democratic ranks. Or are you totally suspending everything he stood for or said before declaring? Then, you might at least have the slightest chance of being correct, but very very very slight.
Of course if you did that for him, you'd have to do it for all...then your idea totally falls apart.

Malleable? Good. The system was meant for both sides to work together. Each side wins some, each side looses some. Maybe he can help bring that back.

You really don't think that millions of the older more conservative Democrats, Blue collar workers and such that are still out there in a much larger amount than the Left wing supporters making the most noise, wouldn't be voting for Trump over the Hillary, Bernie , Warren types that have taken control . People remember the older days of the party when it was about sheltering the working class Little guy from Big Government and large Greedy corporations. We didn't have radical groups calling the shots back then when JFK and even Carter and Clinton's first term. People are sick of Illegals, Rainbow warriors,Radical Islamic groups, Drug Dealers, SJW, BLM, Antagonists, Criminals, Perverts, Transgenders, and all other special interest groups getting all of the Love from the DNC. They want some resemblence of taking back control of a runaway government. They want it now

@bobcat
Who cares? Trump supporters clearly don't, and the undecided don't really either.
These are the sorts of things that ring in an echo chamber, but carry no significance anywhere else. I suspect you'd find that he also has given millions to Democrats over the years and I suspect far less to Republicans.

Fair enough. I'm just saying the guy doesn't seem to have any solid convictions he actually believes in. I think it is important that the president has an open mind to different ideas. I don't think it's wrong to change your mind on issues... I think that's human. But when he changes his mind more than I change my underwear, it's hard to see what kind of person we're gonna have in the White House.
