I'm sure they'll hire someone else after 2016.

You know who they really should try to hire?

Hugh Freeze. That seems like a perfect marriage for all parties involved.

My cousin, who lives in Oxford and is a big OM fan, ran into Freeze at the Redneck Riviera over the holiday weekend. She posted a picture on Facebook of Freeze holding her daughter, who is probably 4 or 5, the little girl has the most pained expression on her face, like she would rather be anywhere but being held by this clown. Not that I would do it, but it is so meme worthy ... I think she must have realized that, because the picture has now been taken down.

Freeze aint going anywhere - but I do think that's a match made in heaven haha. He'd win there.

From a football perspective, Baylor's going to take a nosedive into the bottom tier of the B12, that's practically unavoidable.

From a non-football perspective, the reputation of the university is going to take a substantial hit. This is supposed to be a conservative Baptist place, and to have something like this hanging over their head is a severe black eye.

Not that I would want my daughter to go to Baylor in the first place, but if she were so inclined, this would certainly be cause for a long look at whether that is the right place to be.

I think its the opposite...as this year's football team (most of the current players will be on the roster this fall), have Top 5 - Top 10 talent.

I think the University will be the one that gets hurt the most...via reputation and or even in future number and/or quality of admission (maybe something similar to what has gone on at Mizzou after those insane protests).

University of Missouri enrollment and budget picture 'grim' for fall, faculty leader says

We'll see how many of those kids transfer, but you might be right though in year one. Recruiting will be ugly going forward, then the certain nosedive.

Talking to a Baylor alum tonight, it seems they have to date lost 7 who have requested a release from their NLI. That "Baylor Line" is getting a little thinner. This alum, who is on the in there, told me Memphis is going to be a shoe-in when the expanded conference is announced.

Included in those 7 are their 3 highest rated recruits.

Only thing that probably saved Baylor from losing more is this scandal broke so late (i.e. late May), as most other schools don't have any available scholarships to offer so most signees have to at least enroll at Baylor for one semester (could transfer in January when scholarships open up when season is over).
