Sanders / Trump debate?
http://www.cnbc.com/2016/05/26/bernie-sa...trump.html

Quote:In the latest twist to this unpredictable 2016 presidential race, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders independently agreed Wednesday night to debate each other.

...

"If he paid a sum toward charity I would love to do that," said the business mogul, noting that a Sanders vs. Trump debate "would have such high ratings."

...

Sanders quickly responded with a tweet reading, "Game On. I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before the June 7th primary."

Wow running away from the scheduled debate could realy blowup in Hillary's face.

RE: Sanders / Trump debate?
Why is Trump trying to prop up Bernie?

1. Trump thinks he can get his endorsement.
2. Trump thinks he can get his voters.

or

3. Trump himself is a communust agent. I know it is a far fetched conspiracy, but we know Melania grew up a communist, we know he plays footsie with Putin, and we know many of the fake news propaganda sites pushing him are registered in Macedonia.

Interesting times.

Bernie is such a desperate @sshole. A Trump/Sanders debate doesn't help Sanders. Trump will attack Hillary. Then Bernie is forced to either agree with Trump or defend Hillary, neither benefit Bernie. The democratic party should just kick him out as he is clearly working against their goals of winning now.

I think it is more just to make Hillary look even worse.

She's going to get the nomination, period. If Trump and Bernie are up there debating, but also both subtly (or not so subtly) taking shots at Hillary, it just make's Trump's chances of winning even great.

Hillary has run an absolutely pathetic campaign. Her campaign has been the equivalent of playing prevent defense after being up only 14 at halftime. If you don't play to win, you will often lose.

He wouldn't care. He's been an independent his entire career anyway. He only registered as a dem because he knew he couldn't have a chance at air time running as an independent.

Bernie's run started as a way to bring attention to causes he values. I doubt he ever expected to get the kind of support he has gotten. Even though he won't be the nominee, he has achieved his goals.

Probably, but #3 has been in the back of my mind for a long time.

I definitely think Trump is more liberal than conservative, but not a communist. I'm sure he enjoys corporate welfare as much as any business mogul though.

I mean, Bernie has next to no chance of winning the nomination outside of a Clinton indictment. I hesitate to even call Trump a republican and he's been working towards showing the country he's more moderate for at least two months now.

Hasn't Sanders already said that he'd support Hillary if he didn't get the nomination? In all honesty, Sanders has more to lose here as this will likely black list him from the establishment Dems...but then again, he probably doesn't care about that. It might just be Sanders enjoying his last moments in the sun and good for him if that's the case.

I actually think Bernie has little to lose here. The ratings on this debate are going to be yuge. It will probably win him California and lead to a brokered convention. Hillary will win that, but Bernie will get primetime airing at the the convention Trump will probably either ignore Bernie or conspire with him to turn the event into a Hillary pile-on.

Well, I'll watch just to see how high on the WTF scale it reaches. Preparing for a debate with Trump is like preparing for a street race when you know the other driver is drunk, who knows what will happen. But it could spark Bernie going into the convention and cause some chaos in Philly.

Because California is a dead heat at the moment and Hillary is avoiding Sanders. This should be worth a couple points for Sanders and if he wins California it's another black eye for that miserable *****. Plus it moves more delegates to Sanders and disenfranchises his supporters a bit more. Many won't won't bother to turn out and a few more flip the script and vote for Trump in the general because they feel ignored.

I applaud him for standing up for what he believes but some how he thinks he should be the winner with millions less of votes. Now it's everyone else's fault that he isn't going to win. So much victimization. He should be thankful that the Dems let him run in their primary. Bet that won't happen again.

Ha - that's funny, the second the poll comes out he shoots up to the top regardless of his performance. I'm pretty sure that will be an accurate number though.04-cheers
