Radar shows storm moving in for rest of afternoon. Hopefully that 9th inning got in UNCW players' heads a little and still there tomorrow.

Game won't be completed today per CAA. Tournament officials will meet tomorrow morning to decide plan to complete rest.

I read that if they decide not to play tomorrow that UNCW automatically takes the title

If they don't play this off and give title to UNCW that really stinks!

Given its a tropical storm moving in, I think chances of playing are slim.

What needs to happen is that a new location needs to be found for tomorrow. Elon? JMU? A SoCon, Big South, or ACC location? Not everybody is getting rain tomorrow.

Rain chance drops to only 50 % tomorrow...the problem will be sustained winds at 30+ all day...

If game cannot be played I can understand UNCW getting the NCAA bid...they beat us in the regular season and finished first for regular season. However, why not declare both teams CAA PLayoff Co-Champions given the tie game played between the two teams in the championship round.

You can't allow Mother Nature to determine the winner.

You could argue William and Mary has a loss in the playoffs, while UNCW doesn't, so it still could go to them.

When does NCAA play start? I could understand not wanting to burn out pitchers if it started, say, Wednesday.

I believe the regionals usually start their games on Friday. The selection show is Monday at noon if I recall correctly so I would imagine the CAA championship would have to be decided by then

That being said, it is looking pretty grim that they play tomorrow. If they do, that field is going to be a slip-n-slide

UNCW smoked a bunch of hurlers yesterday and their wheels fell off in the 9th. I wouldn't blame them one bit for grabbing the title, resting up, and moving on. We'd all want W&M to do the same thing.
