This is much much more than an Illinois issue.
Currently some of the other significant underfunded pension lawsuits are Teamsters, International Association of Machinists National Pension Fund, & Michigan Teachers union.

Dear okgc,
I was a former teacher in Michigan, and now retired. I have received no information that our pension is underfunded, or any lawsuit about it. Are you talking about the Detroit teacher's pension? It is not connected to the Michigan teachers pension fund. It is a separate entity.
